Tomorrow I head out to Houston for mission imagery support. I was so excited this afternoon when the weather was looking favorable for launch. Here are some pictures from today's launch.

Excellent pictures, thanks!
Wow - watched it on the live feed and it was absolutely textbook and on schedule - after all that hassle! Great job on the nose cone, and here's hoping for no more three-month delays.
Nices pictures!

A great launch for NASA, everything went just perfect!
Great for you to be able to watch it on the spot. I had to make do with NASA TV.
If I ever get to watch a live shuttle launch, I think I will want to see it with my own two eyes, and waste no time photographing or videotaping it!
On the other hand... I don't really know!
Keep up your great job of showing us how it's really like inside the Shuttle Program.
Cool pictures!
Is this you in the top left of the picture http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/sts-116/hires/jsc2006e54409.jpg
Kinda looks like you
AWESOME! Good work.
Brilliant launch pictures :)

Thanks for posting those great photos -- makes us feel part of the launch, too!

Great pictures! I got to see the launch for the first time from the side of the road going out to Playlinda Beach. It was such a wonderful afternoon, nice breeze and perfect launch! I created a blog mostly to share with more people the pictures I took from the launch, as well as a few from the cloud formation after the launch. One day I hope I can get to the press site for a launch. My dad is an electrical engineer for USA and as far as I can recall he Hasn't gotten any of the passes for family members to get out there(assuming they still do those). Anyway I must say again Great pictures! :)
