Space Shuttle Discovery Launch Aug 25th!

After many meetings reviewing and discussing foam insulation from the External Tank, it was announced yesterday at the Flight Readiness Review that we will launch Space Shuttle Discovery as-is. The launch date has been set for Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 at 1:36 a.m. EDT.

You are an inspiration and are already an astronaut in many eyes. What you do - the pursuit of your dreams - is undeniably the greatest asset any human can acheive. You are already there!
I look forward to my autograph picture from you aboard any number of vehicles we will be using in the near future to get into space.

More importantly to me - you are a shining expample for my little princess to admire and look up to. For that, the most heartfelt thanks.

Follow me so we can follow each other. You can see if anything ever comes from my quest to sell a million "messages" and I'll follow your quest at becoming an astronaut.

Good luck!

Discovery is an icon of our time and it will be a shame when the shuttles are finally de-commissioned. Long live the space program and one of the icons of our generation!

do you think it's an interesting and useful idea that may save several astronauts lives?

well, if your answer is "yes" then just talk about/review it on your blog, forum, website

so, maybe... it will be evaluated, tested, applied to perform much safer Shuttle flights
