A successful launch of Discovery

Yesterday I watched the launch from the beach with some friends. It was nice because we watch the launch as we were swimming in the ocean. It was a great launch and beach day!

It was incredible! I saw it for the first time in real life. We were about 100 yards to the south of Space View Park, and we had a beautiful view. We're planning to go back for Atlantis in October. I wish we could have been closer. Which beach were you at?

One more question... does watching a shuttle launch ever get old? I can't imagine that it does.
