During a lunch break and I went to visit LC-19. 27 launches occurred from LC-19, 10 of them were manned. This was the launch pad that launched America's first two-manned mission, first spacewalk, first spacecraft rendezvous/docking and space emergency, and other historic events all began here when astronauts rode their Gemini-Titan vehicles into orbit.

I've been there as well! Such amazing history at those sites, and it's a shame there isn't a good way to preserve them or make them accessible to space enthusiasts in the public. The weather and sea salts are just eating these sites into history.
I wish I would have gone into one of the blockhouses. I think those would be pretty cool, but wasn't sure if I was allowed to go in!
Keep up the great work. I love reading your blog...
