Boo.. Launch SCRUBBED!

SCRUB! Thunderstorms west of the launch site prevented a launch today for space shuttle Endeavour

We will try again Monday. The target liftoff time will be 6:51:24 p.m. EDT.

Wonder how many thermal cycles the tank can go before it disintegrates. Cars normally lose all their paint after a few days between 60 & 100 but this thing goes between -423 & 90.

Well, I think that shuttle launches are something like "fishing". You have to sit patiently and wait until all conditions are good.
And yes, maybe inventing some scaramantic ritual would help. :)

That's a great question. There is a life limit on the tanks before they need to de-stack and refurbish, correct? Damaris, is that information that you could share with your readers?

The cycle limit on the ET is 13 prelaunch and 1 launch.

Where do you engineers usually watch the launch? Outside or in the building and does the company provide a special place for all engineers to watch the launch?
