I started this blog to document the actions I am taking in trying to become an astronaut. It's my ultimate goal, my dream. Every week or so I post a new update to recap the week or add interesting pictures. I hope you enjoy the site and remember to follow your dreams no matter what others may think of them.

Wonder how many thermal cycles the tank can go before it disintegrates. Cars normally lose all their paint after a few days between 60 & 100 but this thing goes between -423 & 90.
Well, I think that shuttle launches are something like "fishing". You have to sit patiently and wait until all conditions are good.
And yes, maybe inventing some scaramantic ritual would help. :)
Bye Damaris ;)
That's a great question. There is a life limit on the tanks before they need to de-stack and refurbish, correct? Damaris, is that information that you could share with your readers?
The cycle limit on the ET is 13 prelaunch and 1 launch.
Where do you engineers usually watch the launch? Outside or in the building and does the company provide a special place for all engineers to watch the launch?
SCRUBBED. Another $500,000 down the drain!
Don't miss Falcon 1 launch tonight at http://www.spacex.com
Damaris, maybe you can apply to be astronaut to spacex.com when they're hiring :)
