This is me.
I started this blog to document the actions I am taking in trying to become an astronaut. It's my ultimate goal, my dream. Every week or so I post a new update to recap the week or add interesting pictures. I hope you enjoy the site and remember to follow your dreams no matter what others may think of them.

- Welcome to my blog! I grew up in California and later attended Texas A&M University to earn a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. I also hold a Master's degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I previously worked at Kennedy Space Center for Boeing on the Space Shuttle Orbiter's Thermal Protection System. I transitioned to an engineering position with the MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA. I applied for the 2009 astronaut candidate program, but unfortunately did not get a call back. I applied again in early 2011 so fingers crossed! I currently am working on continuing my advanced education, involvement with space advocacy, and continuing to do all that I love in life!

Tal vez vivas en una burbuja, tal vez no. Yo te cuento que mirando desde miles de km, pero pisando el mismo planeta que tú, da mucha pena e impotencia que el costo de todo eso sean tan alto; que se consiga explotando al tercer mundo, robandole sus tierras, sus riquezas, arrasando sus culturas, matandolos.
Mucho mejor sería que se consiguiera bajo la administración de un gobierno no terrorista.
A ver si luchas para conseguirlo. Millones de seres vivos te lo agradeceríamos. Has tocado el espacio, ahora podrías tocar la tierra.

Perhaps alive in a bubble, perhaps no. I count you that looking from thousands of km, but stepping the same planet that you, give a lot of pain and impotence that the cost of all that they are so high; that is gotten exploding to the third world, stealing him its lands, its wealth, razing its cultures, killing them.
Better it would be that it was gotten under the administration of an no terrorist government.
That you fight to get it. Millions of alive beings we would thank it to you. You have played the space, now you could play the earth.
I think it's great what you're doing. I've always wondered what it took to be an astronaut. You have so much to be proud of. Keep up the good work, one recent college grad to the next. I hope to be in television broadcasting one day, so maybe I will be covering a story on your first flight into outerspace! My prayers are with you.
